Out with the Old and In with the New

16 year old NYC- NBA-er Maurice Harkless and Nathan Blue

I have been very fortunate in my life to touch all 50 states.  For those of you who have no idea who i am, don't worry, you will.  Basketball has been my passion since I decided to give up on the Mets at the age of 13.  Today at the age of 34.  I've had the chance to be associated with every fad that some of the youth may think is new.

Well, gone are the days of Ernie Lorch's Riverside Church and Doc's Broncos.  Today its Team Scan and The New Rens.  Gone are Stephon Marbury, Tim Thomas, Speedy Claxton, Jamal Mashburn, and Rest In Peace Eddie Griffen.  Its now, Danny Green, Kyrie Irving, Tobias Harris, Taj Gibson, Joakim Noah, and Earl Clark to name a few.

Times have changed with the NCAA rules and regulations.  The economy had dried up the funding to Rice High School, Patterson Catholic, beacon programs, and aau funding.

New York and New Jersey may not feel like 10 years ago, but basketball is still alive an well.  Ask the 50-60 D1 players we have playing major college bball.   Or the unknown pros i didn't mention earlier named Kenneth Faried, Moe Harkless, and the phoenix suns pg Sebastian Telfair.

NYC/NJ isn't going nowhere, its just out with the old and in with the new.  Hey, even Elite 24 recognized it. lol
